About Joanne

Joanne grew up in Bury, Lancashire.

At the age of four Joanne started ballet lessons at the Judith Anne Edwards School of Dance. Little did she know then that this would be the start of her career in the Entertainment Industry.

At the age of eleven and now starting senior school, Joanne had to decide between dance classes and horse riding, as there were not enough hours in the day to do all of this and go to school too!

So dancing it was! And not long after, her choice was to pay off as Joanne was offered her first professional role in the West End of London, playing in Bugsy Malone at Her Majesty's Theatre on the Haymarket. It was great fun living in a hotel for 3 months, doing school work in the afternoon and performing in the evening.

On completing her GCSE's, Joanne was offered a place at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London and so she left Bury behind for a life in the Big City.

Since then, Joanne has appeared in many stage and television productions, most of which are detailed on this website.
